Anne Evers Communications

The vision and experience to get the job done. Here's a quick recap of my background.

Picture
My career in communications started in book publishing, long before the Internet and e-readers. After years as a book editor and publicist, then as a magazine editor, I launched my own company in 1993 to offer business clients high-quality editing, writing and project management services. I've never looked back!

I have extensive project management experience. While I was editor of Research magazine, the leading trade magazine for stockbrokers, I oversaw the development of multiple start up publications and web sites, from scoping the concept to coordinating the writing, design and production. At Research, I oversaw all editorial and production functions, working with top management at a wide variety of corporate clients—from IBM, AT&T, and Pacific Telesis to small start ups—to help them tell their corporate stories to investment professionals and individual investors.   Prior to working as editor of Research, I was Publicity Director for the University of California Press. I have a BA in English, from U.C. Berkeley, and an MBA from St. Mary's College.  Beyond the work stuff and the schooling and all that impressive experience: I'm a fifth-generation Californian with deep roots in the Bay Area. I am also a sometimes-speed-walker, always-speed-reader, and extrovert who lives on the California coast with my husband and neurotic Beagle.
